It currently holds an unmatchable service portfolio, experience and client roster: from advisory to carbon and energy investment funds to voluntary emissions compensation, Ecoprogresso provides the solution when energy and carbon are the challenges.
The vast experience and unique positioning of Ecoprogresso arises from advising, for several years, the Portuguese government in fields including the Kyoto Protocol international negotiations both at the United Nations and European Union levels. In the private sector, more than 100 companies have selected Ecoprogresso as their business partner. These companies operate in very different sectors of activity such as: Commercial and Investment Banking, Shopping Centre Management, Transportation, Electricity Production and Distribution, Pulp and Paper, Ceramics, Lime, Cement, Textiles and the Food and Beverage Sector. In recognition of its value, Ecoprogresso was the consultancy company chosen for the management of the first private Portuguese carbon fund – the Luso Carbon Fund (LCF) and for the first Portuguese Fund with direct investment in renewable energies – the New Energy Fund (NEF). Ecoprogresso expanded internationally in early 2007 on opening an office in Sao Paulo (Brazil) and will soon open an office in China.
In the context of adaptation to climate change, Ecoprogresso assumes as yours:

In this context Ecoprogresso assumes as the principal promoter of initiative in a context of climate change, innovating in his nature, at national and international level, because is focused in adaptation, instead is part of daily agenda, it still less explored and consists in the other “face” of climate change.
Because it couldn’t be more postponed begin in Portugal a larger debate about adaptation to climate change. To act. To win.

British Embassy in Lisbon
Climate change is one of the greatest long-term challenges facing all of us. The British Embassy in Lisbon is working closely with the Portuguese government and other EU and international partners to construct a high growth, low carbon EU economy and secure a global agreement on stabilising emissions so that we avert dangerous climate change. We also have to adapt to the impacts of unavoidable climate change.
The British Embassy in Lisbon is working to secure these goals in a number of ways. We are promoting Portuguese-UK business and Research & Development collaborations in low carbon technologies and Portuguese investment in renewables in the UK that will help us meet our climate change objectives. We are also setting an example by cutting our own emissions.
We support this project on adaptation as it is an excellent example of collaboration between governments and private organisations that will promote dialogue and share best practice in order to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
